Clarification of Covid Rules At Packington Memorial Hall

Further to the Government’s announcement earlier this week the hall committee have reviewed the guidance published as of today and wish to advise all visitors to the hall of the following:

  • It is now mandatory to wear a face mask in community centres/village halls except when the main activity its eating, drinking, exercising, or dancing.
  • It will be the responsibility of the hiring party to decide if their primary purpose of hire falls inside these categories and advise their attendees accordingly.
  • We recommend all hirers make regular checks on government link below as it seems to be updating continually (three times in the last 48 hours) with further advice and clarifications being published while the media and other bodies pose questions to the government.
  • Anti-bacterial cleaning products, hand sanitiser etc will continue to be made available at the hall for your use.

Thank you for your understanding on this matter, please follow the link below to the government guides on face coverings.

COVID-19 Dec ‘21 Update

Please be advised that following the UK Governments briefing this evening, 8th December ‘21, we will be taking time to review the latest guidance once published in writing and then update our customers.

Thank you for your patience, PMH Committee

Latest COVID19 Update

Following on from the previous post the Committe have assessed information from the Government and the Rural Community Council and decided the following:

  • A new risk assessment will be undertaken and shared with all regular users of the hall and all enquirers when making individual bookings.
  • The document will act as the foundation and benchmark for all covid protocols in the hall and will be in line with the post 19th July advice.
  • Any group or individual person hiring the hall can increase the level of restriction and impose further protocols as they see fit for their event or activity. This no longer needs to be in the form of a written risk assessment and will be the responsibility of the hirer to manage and inform their guests/attendees.
  • Individuals then make their own decisions regarding their use of the hall and enter the hall for any activity at their own risk .

Hand sanitiser will remain be available, the stage will be returned to it’s pre lockdown position and the 30 minute gap between bookings will remain in place.

We sincerly thank you for your continued cooperation.

COVID-19 Step 4 Changes

To all our valued customers and members of our local community.

Although the Coronavirus restrictions in England are easing on the 19th July, to ensure the safety of all users the Memorial Hall Committee have decided to maintain the current provisions in place for Step 3 until further guidance from the Government and the Rural Community Council has been properly assessed and discussed at the next committee meeting on the 17th August.

We want to keep our community as safe as possible and require some time to assess the risks associated with the Step 4 changes.

In the meantime hand sanitiser will still be available, please observe social distancing and masks where possible and follow the one way system in and out of the hall.

We sincerly thank you for your continued cooperation.
